Firefighter - Volunteer (36 hours)


This course is designed for rural and suburban fire departments. It is designed to take the volunteer fire fighter through selected areas of the NFPA Standard 1001 Fire Fighter I Program. A minimum of 36 hours of classroom and hands-on experience is required and you must be enrolled through a local fire department. Students must be 17 years of age and at least a senior in high school to take exam.


Classes scheduled according to local department needs, self-paying students also welcome to train as well.

 

NIMS-100 & 700

Volunteer students are required to complete the IS 100 and IS 700 PRIOR to first day of class. Please follow the links below to complete both of these certificates. You will need a valid email address to receive confirmation and your certificate. If you do not have one, ask your fire department about helping you get one, or go to your public library and they will help you create a free, web-based email account.
