Firefighter I/Transitions
(84 + 16 Driving hours)This course is for volunteer firefighters and consists of classroom and practical experiences that transitions the volunteer firefighter to the NFPA Firefighter I level. It includes alarm and communications, emergency medical care, portable extinguishers, ropes, water supplies, sprinklers, salvage, overhaul and inspection. As of 2009, the State of Ohio Fire Services Certifications require 16 hours of driver training to be added to the program.
Classes scheduled according to community and fire department needs, self-paying students are welcome as well.
