Industrial Maintenance


This program includes skill training in the classroom and lab that deals with the maintenance of machinery and mechanical equipment in an industrial plant, factory or other facilities.
Integrated academics, employability skills, and OSHA compliance are also included.

Enroll at the beginning of any new term.

Electricity - 200 hours

·         Motor Starters

·         3-Phase Motors

·         Wound Rotor Motors

·         DC Generators

·         Shunt Motors

·         Troubleshooting

·         Variable Frequency Drives

·         OSHA 10 hour compliance

Plumbing/Pipefitting - 200 hours

·         PVC, Copper, and Black Iron Pipe

·         Valves, Fittings, and Installations

·         DWV Systems

·         Blueprint Reading

·         TracPipe

Fluid Power - Hydraulics/Pneumatics - 250 hours

·         Basic Micro Logics

·         Schematic Hydraulic Circuits

·         Pumps, Actuators, Motors, and Control Valves

·         System Maintenance and Troubleshooting

HVAC: Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning - 350 hours

·         Refrigeration Systems and Cycles

·         Refrigerants

·         Compressors

·         Condensers and Evaporators

·         Metering and Control Devices

·         Heating Systems

·         Troubleshooting

·         Sheet Metal Fabrication

Welding - 200 hours

·         Gas Metal Arc Welding

·         Oxyacetylene Welding and Cutting

·         Shielded Metal Arc Welding (E-6010, E-7018)

Classes meet Monday thru Friday 5:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

Total course hours = 1200
