Industrial Maintenance

This program includes skill training in the classroom and lab that deals with the maintenance of machinery and mechanical equipment in an industrial plant, factory or other facilities. Integrated academics, employability skills and OSHA compliance are also included.


HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning)                     (350 hours)

Condensers and Evaporators, Compressors, Heating Systems, Metering and Control Devices, Refrigerants, Refrigeration Systems and Cycles, Sheet Metal Fabrication, Troubleshooting.  Available Certifications:  EPA 608, 609, R410A, NCCER Certification, OSHA Certification (30 hour)

**IM HVAC course is located at the North Campus**


Welding                                                                                  (200 hours)

Gas Metal Arc Welding, Oxyacetylene Welding and Cutting, Shielded Metal Arc Welding(E-6010, E-7018).  Available Certifications:  AWS Certification (offered), NCCER Certification


Electricity                                                                               (200 hours)

3-Phase Motors, DC Generators, Motor Starters & Controls, Shunt Motors, Transformers, Troubleshooting, Variable Frequency Drives, Wound Rotor Motors.

Available Certifications:  NCCER Certification


Plumbing/Pipefitting                                                             (200 hours)

PVC, Copper, and Black Iron Pipe,

Valves, Fittings and Installations under plumbing code. Available Certifications:  NCCER Certification, TracPipe Certification


Fluid Power/Hydraulics/Pneumatics                                     (250 hours)

Basic Micro Logics, Motor Pump Alignment, Pumps, Actuators, Motors and Control Valves, Reservoirs & Fluids, Schematic Hydraulic Circuits, System Maintenance, Troubleshooting.  Available Certifications:  NCCER Certification


1200 hours; M-F

Required WK scores: Math  4, Locating 4, Reading 4      5:00 pm — 10:00 pm
