Power Line Mechanic

Line Class – D Mechanic School teaches the first stage of the Lineman Trade. The successful student will complete the entry level of a lineman. In the 900-hour power line mechanic program, students receive an overview of the energy delivery system, qualify to climb poles and learn the assembly of materials, tools and equipment.  Students also learn to operate a bucket and digger trucks, perform bucket truck and pole-top rescue, as well as be prepared to take the Class A truck driver exam.  Available CDL Training:  CDL Utility Class A License, 40 hrs (Valid Drivers License Required), Ability to pass DOT physical.  Available Certifications:  NCCER Certification, Pole Certification

 

900 hours; M-F

Required WK scores: Math  4, Locating 4, Reading 4 5:00 pm — 10:00 pm
