Phlebotomy

A combination of classroom and clinical experience designed to prepare an individual to collect, process, handle and store blood specimens under supervision. Training prepares student to take the Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) exam through National Healthcareer Association.  Available Certifications:  Certified Phlebotomy Technician, First Aid/CPR.

A recent physical examination, TB test or chest x-ray within the past year, Hepatitis B vaccinations or waiver, and Rubella and Rubeola immunity/immunization required.

 

Begin Dates:  Yearly:  Various times throughout the year.

176 hours; M & Th

Class hours/days may vary to accommodate clinical schedules.       4:00 pm — 8:00 pm

Cost includes books, lab fees, physical exam & certification.  Does not include TB test, Immunizations, drug screen and BCI/FBI background check.
